AC Cars produced only 81 428 Frua's of which only 29 were convertibles . Built on a similar chassis as the 427 cobra . In fact the rolling chassis was sent to Turin Italy for the bodies to be fabricated in steel and returned to AC Cars for painting , trimming etc .
